Wireless AV Sender (Wireless audio video Transmitter-Receiver)

Cables have become an indispensable part of communication.Any kind of data can be sent over these cables within a wide range of distance. The data that can be sent over the cable can be voice, text, pictures, videos etc.

But lately all technologies are going wireless.Use of wires has been kept to minimum. The need for avoiding wires is mainly to reduce clutter.Other than that a wire if cut of tampered could bring the communication to a complete halt or frequent faults.

Every house at the time of construction or renovation has meters of wires running inside them. Most of them are that of power. The other being that for automation,Cameras etc.

But if a user feels like adding cameras or automation after the completion of construction or renovation ,it becomes difficult for the concealment of the wires.People generally do not wish wires to be seen clipped or even boxed and running around their house walls these days.

Although for power wires wireless seems to be a distant technology for the rest it is possible.

Wireless AV sender is the perfect solution for sending audio-video signals from one point to another by the means of microwave waves. One doesn't have to compromise the setup of new digital TV or CCTV in his/her house fearing for open wires.

The device is a simple plug and play and works on 2.4 GHz license free band.

It consists of-
A transmitter which has to be connected to the source of AV signal with the means of AV cable provided with the set.

A receiver connected to the receiver port where the TV or Monitor is connected by means of AV cable provided.

The power consumption of entire system is less than 20 W.

The system is able to cover a distance of 10 meters easily given that the transmitter and receiver are in LOS (line of sight) ie both antennas are able to see each other without any obstructions.

This system is perfect for a club or gym where several users tend to fiddle with the set top box to change channels. The set top box could be in the managers area from where he/she can control the  channels broadcast on the TV at a distance.

This device is useful for individuals who wish to change the orientation of the TV in their house without wanting changes in wiring.

You can also convert normal CCTV cameras into wireless with the help of these device and hence no more tinkering with cables.

Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT or Fixed wireless Terminal (FWT)

Last 2 decades have been revolutionary in telecommunication world.Things which weren't imagined in the 90s are being practically applied on a daily basis today.Mobile communication is one such technology which has evolved rapidly over the last decade, changing the status of cell phones from luxury to a daily necessity.
In India the entry of pager in early 90s proved to be the breakthrough in wireless telecommunication.Post pager.people only knew about ham radio and walkie talkies as the standard forms of wireless communication.
Just within a few years a mobile phones were available in open markets of India and started becoming popular. The whole PCO concept slowly started getting out of picture as more and more people subscribed to mobile phone services. The rates started at ₹.60/minute in mid 90s and is currently at 1.5 paise/second in 2013.

During this period, mobile phone instruments also went through lot of phases from heavy instruments with pull out antennas and LCD displays to super light, smartphones with high defintions.

During all this evolutions came a device called FCT ie fixed cellular terminal or fixed wireless terminal in early 2000s.
The FCT or FWT has a GSM or CDMA modem in it with a SIM card slot.Basically it facilitated voice communication using a SIM card without the help of a cell phone.

The FCT/FWT proved a major player for network operators who gave away special numbers to small business involved in tele-marketing and customer servicing along with FCT.

The FCT can be used with an EPABX and replace landline completely.

As the mobile call charges became cheaper than landline call charges,FCT proved to be a major force for network operators to increase their customer base.

Another speciality of FCT was its remote sensing ability. It can sense mobile signals as low as -95db to establish a clear communication through a mobile SIM.

No cellular device in world can operate under such low signal comfortably as FCT can.

The FCT soon became a cost effective solution for mobile signal repeaters ,since they costed less than 10% of the cost of a mobile signal repeater system.

Soon FCTs with SMS and data were also developed and widely applied for call centers.

FCTs in their presence of more than 13 years did not get enough popularity due to their lack of availability in open market.

Who can use FCT?
1) Any small business who does not want heavy paperwork and installation for landline phones.
2) Someone who need a mode of mobile communication in a low/poor signal area
3)Customer Care/Offices who need to implement their special number for their entire office via   EPABX/INERCOM system.

Why FCT?
1) It has remote sensing capabilities and come with an external antenna which can facilitate clear communication even with weak signals.
2)Attaching a high range cordless phone to FCT gives you a total mobility in your office, workshop or factory easily
3)The installation is very simple and device is completely portable with battery backup facility.
4)Saves lot of money if compared to MTNL/BSNL landlines on any given day.

Our mobile signal booster vs Booster provided by network.

People are very particular when it comes to spending. Most of our enquirers find it very expensive and are confident that they will shake up their network operator and force them to solve their problem.

But practically,a company like Vodafone and Airtel will not get moved by such customers. They are running a billion dollar industry and yes they do need every customer, but they would anyday prefer bribing a customer by giving them special call rates of Free SMS rather than actually solving their problem.

Even if you have a corporate scheme with your company having more than 100 cards consistently billing more than ₹.1000 a month,it will atleast take them 8-9 month to decide whether to give solution or NOT.Mostly it is a NOT.

In some cases, the operator does decide to give a solution. If you are in a metro city ,you might get the solution for free. But if you are in any other city, the operator will charge you even more than us and the solution will be limited only for their operator.

If the operator is giving you a solution for free, they are doing you a huge favour. So do not expect them to care about aesthetic value  of your office. They have to do minimum 3 installations in one day and you are one of them.

The wire is too thick to be bent and can be an issue for electrical maintenance staff of your office. The holes made to pass this wire are too huge to hide.

Since this repeater and wire is their property, you wont be allowed to alter it.

In future if the network issue in that area is solved,in general. The operator will take out the repeater without thinking twice and will leave all the holes and drills untreated, making it look worse.

On the other hand ,when we charge you ,we make sure that your office aesthetics is our priority. We do not run thick cables unnecessarily. And the equipment is owned by you,so no one else has a right over it.

The equipment benefits you for solution of all operators ,hence you do not need to port numbers of all your employees to one operator.

Yes our solution is expensive but not more than your iphone/tablet and your iphone or table is just worthless without network.

Insight on Indian Mobile industry.

Before i share with you all my customer experiences in Boosterwala Diaries, i would first brief up with the current situation in Indian Mobile Service Industry.

Now India has a wide customer base using cell phones.Infact the number of cell phones outnumbers the number of land line phones in India, thanks to multiple sim ownership by various individuals. The reason for that could be the due to the domination of government owned MTNL-BSNL in the land line sector where the price has not seen change for a long time and remain to be an expensive way of communication compared to mobile phones.

Indian Mobile market is divided into GSM and CDMA technlogies with GSM clearly being the winner with approximately 80% of the market share.CDMA remains popular in remote and rural areas where the BTS density is also happens to be less.

CDMA(Code division multiple access) was very popular in its initial days when Tata and Reliance came into the market somewhere during 2003 with WLL(wireless local loop) and their dirt cheap calling rates.WLL was only meant for voice communication.Soon WLL was upgraded to CDMA  which was compatible for both voice and SMS.Soon came CDMA 2003 which had data facility too, hanks to EVDO.Infact EVDO 2000 was able to give 3G like speeds and was also introduced few months after 3G in India.EVDO 2000 which was launched by MTS and BSNL could not compete the aggressive marketing strategies by Airtel and Idea who made 3G technology a familiar term in India.

GSM on the other hand remains popular among urban user base in metros and towns.GSM also has the advantage of wider variety in terms of handsets which suits India where there is no strong contract system business like in UK and USA.Indians prefer changing their handsets on a regular basis and tend to spend lot of money on mobile handsets as well as services.

Very few people realise how CDMA is master when it comes to coverage compared to GSM.CDMA communication has been possible in basements but GSM seems impossible unless there is an IBS present.

During calamities in India,GSM networks get jammed easily when people start calling each other to check ,but CDMA networks never face that issue since they have dedicated channels to users unlike frequency reusing technique in GSM.

CDMA also has the wonderful cell technology which alters its reach when a user with no signal bars dials a call from his phone and his able to communicate.

The flipside is that CDMA technology is expensive for the network operators and the pricing has to be kept in par with GSM.Also CDMA phones tend to consume more power than GSM phones.

Some major players who ply their trade in CDMA in India are Reliance,Tata,MTS along with government supported BSNL-MTNL duo.

While GSM operators are in large numbers.Back in mid 90s when the whole revolution began, there were only a few like Max Touch(Vodafone),BPL(Loop) ,AT&T(IDEA),Airtel and MTNL-BSNL.These were all using 900MHZ band ,which is the most efficient band in terms of RF having better penetration ability.

Initially these operators stuck to certain circles except MTNL-BSNL.

Later the mobile subscriptions went on to rise thus making 900MHZ band insufficient with growing number of operators and then came 1800MHZ band  or DCS band which promised better sound quality.1800MHZ meant more cell sites due to its lesser penetration compared to 900MHZ.

In a congested country like India where acquiring a site to setup cell equipments is a huge challenge and with 1800MHZ it meant more initial investment for operators at the same call costs.

TRAI never planned the spectrum allocation back in the mid 90s and underestimated the subscription. This led to lot of inconsistency in terms or operators ,circles and frequency band. For e.g Idea operates on 900Mhz in Maharashtra and Goa circle but operates on 1800MHZ in Mumbai circle.Similarly Airtel operates on 900Mhz in Delhi circle and being a late entrant in Mumbai circle operates on 1800Mhz.

TRAI has also exploited the telecom industry to its benefit by auctioning spectrums at sky-high prices without caring that the end users will be paying for it.This misery was doubled when the ruling government during 2008 spectrum auctions managed one of the biggest scams in Indian history where license distribution lacked transparency and the likes of DB group resold their licenses withing few months of acquisition which was prohibited as per the TRAI rules.

The Government saw a 50% fall in expected revenues during 2012 2G spectrum auctions as a backlash of scams and license cancellations happened due to the corruption in previous auction in 2008.

Telecom industry has been barely managing things in India with most of the equipment manufacturing and technical know-how dependency on Chinese companies like Huawei and ZTE.Huawei and ZTE have made sure how Indian mobile industry will be kept away from IP based  picocell technology by not integrating it into the current RF planning in India.

Looking at the number of patent battles Huawei are fighting all over the tech industry suggest that they are perfect for Indian customers who do not believe in paying for R&D and keep looking for short term, unreliable but cheap options.

The 3G has been a failure too in India and 4G is already been launched in Pune,Kolkata and Bangalore.3G being on 2100MHZ frequency has not been planned properly all over India thus customers not getting 3G speeds as promised. The rates though have come down substantially since its introduction in India while coverage has also improved but not substantially.Customers who have already purchased 3G dongles from their respective operators have found themselves locked up when they do not get proper 3G coverage in their office or home.

The 3G data cards being locked by the operators, customers cannot try other SIMs on it to get a proper solution after owning the redundant hardware.

This is where universal, unlocked 3G USB data cards or dongles play an important role for customers enjoying more freedom and convenience.

The spectrum refarming or restructuring is another disaster which has been playing in the minds of Indian government and TRAI which will vacate the 900MHZ for 3G by placing all 2G services on 1800MHZ.

The government doesnt realsie how rare and costly are 900MHZ 3G devices and what kind of setback will the end users  suffer when operators on 900MHZ move to 1800MHZ after scarping their existing equipments and investing in new ones ,just because the government felt a need to do so.

We sincerely hope that Indian telecom industry bounces back and becomes one of the most satisfying as well as profit making telecom industry in the world.

What are mobile signal boosters....?

Please observe the above images. They belong to the premium phone available in the market which are high priced and people own them in huge numbers.

But if you observe properly, none of the phones in the above images have signal.

Imagine, you own a ₹.40,000 phone and you get one of those No Service or SOS sign.If you are in a basement your 40000 phone is as helpless as a ₹.1500 phone ,unable to make or receive calls and totally cut from the outer world. In that case you want to make an urgent call and you have to run to the nearest land line, but what if you are expecting an urgent call? The caller will just get the "user not available" message and would never figure out how to reach to you exactly. And if thats a business call then you need to note it in the business lost section because in today's age of competition,no one calls back. They just move on to your competitiors.

In this age, technology has become crucial in everyday's life.Be it in terms of work or personal.Imagine a day without internet connectivity. No Emails,No Facebook,No Twitter and No Youtube. It can be comparable to life without food and water for the current tech-savvy generation.

Now if you are located in a remote place miles away from city or town and you get no service ,its understood, but still you run in all 4 directions with your phone in hand hoping you strike atleast one bar on that signal status indicator on your phone. You jump like you struck gold when you get that one bar which is not good enough for you to make an outgoing call or for that matter even receive a call.Best thing can happen is that your pending SMS might reach its destination or you will receive pending SMS.

If you are right in the middle of a metro like Mumbai,Delhi,Chennai etc and such No Signal situation occurs you just feel like throwing you phone in frustration. You do not expect such poor infrastructure in the so called Megacities. You run out of curses for your mobile operator and you check other peoples signal situation.

Sometimes one of those has signal and others do not, thanks to his operator whose tower is standing on the terrace of the building you are in.And you swear to port your number to that operator.

But frankly speaking ,there is nothing like a superior network coverage in big cities where development is uncontrollable and network operators cannot alter their infrastructure after every new building springs across the city like wild  mushrooms.

So now you have the mobile technology and you are paying out of your pocket for all its elite services but due to small loop holes in technology you are unable to enjoy it fully and you have those small but awkward situations where you are stuck up without a good quality signal which can enable you from communication smoothly.

This is where the Mobile Signal Booster jumps in.......

It is basically a system which picks up signal from one place , boosts it and feeds to the place where you have no signal.

It is not like just any other sound amplifier used to amplify sounds but one which strengthens all RF signals.Be it mobile signal or WiFi signal for that matter.

Mobile Signal booster is typically a boon for a country like India, where operators are more than 10 but users and congestion is 10000 folds more and network issues are common in crowded cities especially.

MNP can be a solution but only for low end operators who are easily released by their network. Those who have those special numbers with special plans and special rates are stuck up with their operator for ever and have no option other than using mobile signal boosters.(LAND LINE is not an option.do you really call your acquaintances on their landlines?).Land line phones are no expensive these days with rentals of minimum 250 and cannot be kept busy by a company's employers for their personal calls.

Operators are so much under economic and cost burden thanks to spectrum auction scams by the current Indian government. The operators are going to recover from the customers in the end.So do not expect them to give out free mobile signal boosters.

The signal issues are also seen in case of 3G.Though only 4% of Indian users rely on 3G,most of them are addicted to it and will be really concerned about their 3G signal more than 2G,which might be healthy.

The mobile signal boosters are not expensive, any given day they are cheaper than iphone which can be used by only single user compared to booster which can be used by multiple users and can actually result into productivity.

The beauty of mobile signal boosters is that you can have them benefit you for multiple networks unliked band specific ones provided by the operator.

For more info about mobile signal booster, visit www.boosterwala.com or call on +91 9987180210.

I know you had problems and you want one to make your mobile signal issues go away.

The boosters are not just solution for zero signal but also for frequent call drops at higher floors and network congestion issues at call centers.

See you then till my next post Boosterwala Diaries where i share the mentality of Indian clients towards mobile signal boosters.
